Without subsidy a buyer who only wants Core breaks even after roughly 4.0 years (size M) or 4.3 years (size S); add Mushr Live and it is 4.9 to 5.5 years. Support tips the scale: at 35 % VLIF or provincial support a size-M purchase nets out at € 9,750, and then buying already wins from year 3.
Versions no longer exist: everyone runs the same, newest codebase. What you own as a buyer is a perpetual right of use on the core feature set, not a frozen code version.

Support schemes
A purchase is an investment — and investments are often subsidised.
VLIF in Flanders and the provincial schemes in the Netherlands subsidise exactly this kind of investment. A subscription rarely qualifies. That is why every purchase conversation starts with the subsidy question.
Apply for support before the purchase. If support is not available, renting is almost always the better route — and we will say so.

What does implementation cost?
When you buy, it is in the price. When you rent, it is one-time: € 1,500 in size S, € 2,000 in size M. For size L we scope it in a conversation, because it depends on your existing data, your integrations and the number of sites.
What is the difference between Mushr Core and Mushr Live?
Mushr Core is finished: substrate, grow and harvest, sales and stock, invoices, organic control and multi-site. That is yours to own. Mushr Live is the layer that measures instead of asking you to type — scale integration, scanning, AI delivery notes, cost price. It stays a € 49 per month subscription, buyers included, because it evolves continuously and costs monthly compute.
Can I switch from renting to buying?
Yes. 50 percent of what you paid in rent over the last twelve months counts as a discount on the purchase price, capped at € 1,500.
Is a purchase eligible for subsidy?
Often it is. VLIF covers 30 to 40 percent of this kind of investment in Flanders, the Netherlands has provincial schemes, and via a producer organisation 50 percent EU co-financing can be added. A subscription rarely qualifies. Always apply for support before the purchase.
